3 PUI quarantine centers opened in Davao City
Davao City has opened three new quarantine facilities to accommodate persons under investigation (PUIs) for COVID-19.
These centers are the Malagos Rehabilitation Center, La Vida Hotel, and the Alternative Learning School located beside People's Park.
Mayor Sara Duterte stated that PUIs with mild symptoms will not be admitted to hospitals due to limited facilities and should instead go to these designated PUI centers.
The Malagos Rehabilitation Center, a 350-bed drug treatment facility, will house at least 28 PUIs.
The city government has ensured these facilities comply with the Department of Health's basic equipment requirements before accommodating patients identified by Southern Philippines Medical Center (SPMC).
