Dasmariñas Monarchs take solo lead in MPVA after sweeping Pasay Lady Monarchs

The Dasmariñas Monarchs have taken the solo lead in the Maharlika Pilipinas Volleyball Association (MPVA) after securing their second consecutive win by sweeping the Pasay Lady Monarchs.

The Monarchs defeated Pasay with set scores of 25-13, 26-24, and 25-20, maintaining a flawless 2-0 record in the tournament.

Key players Vange Alinsug, Alexa Nichole Mata, and Myrtle Escanlar led the scoring for Dasmariñas, which is backed by the National University Lady Bulldogs.

In another match, the defending champions Quezon Tangerines bounced back from their opening loss with a commanding sweep against the Caloocan AM Spikers.

Camilla Amor Bartolome was the top scorer for Quezon with 19 points in their victory over Caloocan, helping the Tangerines achieve a 1-1 win-loss record.

The Pasay Lady Monarchs are now at a 1-1 slate after their loss to Dasmariñas, having previously defeated the Negros ICC Blue Hawks.
