Darren Espanto, Cassy Legaspi are best friends

Singer-host Darren Espanto confirmed that his relationship with Cassy Legaspi is strictly that of "best friends."

Legaspi echoed Espanto's sentiment, stating, "It's so hard to explain what we have, pero best friends talaga kami."

Espanto explained in an interview that their bond is unique and may not be easily understood by others.

He acknowledged that while their love for each other is present, he found it difficult to articulate the depth of their platonic connection to outsiders.

When questioned about the possibility of their relationship evolving, Espanto stated that it is not the right time for them to consider taking it to the next level.

The tandem, known as "CassRen," has consistently maintained the nature of their friendship, having previously described their relationship as "special" without any romantic involvement.

Cassy Legaspi clarified that her social media posts of song lyrics and her mother's posts of bible verses are not insinuations regarding her relationship with Espanto.

Legaspi and Espanto have attended events like the GMA Gala and ABS-CBN Ball together, and have also traveled to various locations including Japan and California.
