DAR distributes over 211,000 land titles in 2024

The Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) distributed 211,751 land titles to 203,839 agrarian reform beneficiaries (ARBs) nationwide in 2024.

These titles included 134,736 electronic titles and 77,015 Certificates of Land Ownership Award (CLOAs) under the regular land acquisition and distribution (LAD) component of the Comprehensive Agrarian Reform Program (CARP).

Of the total beneficiaries, 126,810 received titles through the Support to Parcelization of Lands for Individual Titling (SPLIT) project, while 77,029 were under the regular LAD program.

DAR Undersecretary Luis Meinrado Pañgulayan warned that ARBs could be disqualified for non-compliance with land use regulations, such as abandonment, misuse, illegal conversion, or unauthorized sale.

The New Agrarian Emancipation Act (Republic Act 11953) provides for the condonation of all unpaid amortizations for ARBs through the issuance of Certificates of Condonation with Release of Mortgages.

DAR Secretary Conrado M. Estrella III affirmed the goal to finish the land distribution program within President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.'s term.
