Expanded P20 rice program to be tested in Regions 2 and 3 in mid-August
The Department of Agriculture (DA) will begin piloting its expanded P20 per kilo rice program on August 13 in selected areas of Regions 2 and 3.

Agriculture Secretary Francisco Tiu Laurel Jr. stated the program aims to reach 15 million households, or approximately 60 million Filipinos.
Middle-class households will have a monthly purchase limit of 10 kilos, while vulnerable sectors have a higher limit of 30 kilos.
President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. highlighted the nationwide expansion of the P20 rice program as a fulfilled campaign promise during his fourth State of the Nation Address (SONA).
