Cyclist, motorist involved in road rage in Marikina

A road rage incident between a motorist and a cyclist occurred on Gil Fernando Avenue in Marikina City on October 28.

The altercation began when the motorist honked at the cyclist for not staying in the proper lane for bikes.

The cyclist then chased the vehicle after the driver allegedly cursed at him and blocked the car with his bicycle before attacking the driver.

The incident escalated into a fistfight, with bystanders attempting to intervene.

The road rage incident lasted around 30 minutes, but no damage was sustained by the car or bicycle.

Both parties eventually settled their differences, and no formal charges were filed.

Authorities reminded the public to be extra patient on the road to avoid similar incidents.
