CSB Blazers defeat JRU Bombers, remain atop NCAA Season 100 standings

The College of St. Benilde (CSB) Blazers defeated the Jose Rizal University (JRU) Bombers, 84-69, to maintain their lead in the NCAA Season 100 standings after the first round of eliminations.

CSB built a significant 26-point lead in the first half, which they used to withstand JRU's attempts at a comeback in the fourth quarter.

This victory gives CSB their seventh win against two losses, keeping them at the helm.

Despite the win, CSB coach Charles Tiu expressed that the team could have performed better, aiming for a 9-0 record and addressing turnover issues, which remain a primary concern.

The Blazers, who have had around 30 turnovers in their last two games, committed only 18 against JRU, with 12 occurring in the second half.

Tiu mentioned that the team is happy to be in first place but wants more breathing room as teams are close in the standings and they aim to secure a twice-to-beat advantage in the Final Four.
