A couple was arrested in Valenzuela City for allegedly mass-producing and selling fake government IDs and documents online.
The operation began after an online seller, previously arrested, identified the couple as their primary suppliers.
During the raid, authorities confiscated 391 fake government IDs, including PhilHealth, SSS, UMID, TIN, and driver's licenses, along with forged documents like PhilHealth Member Data Records.
Equipment and materials used for production were also seized from the couple's home-based forgery den.
The suspects, identified as "Chippie," 44, and "Kaye," 40, admitted to printing the IDs, claiming they were "only doing their jobs."
They allegedly advertised their illegal services online, selling the fake IDs for prices ranging from P40 to P1,000.
The couple will face charges for falsification of documents in relation to the Cybercrime Prevention Act of 2012.
