Converge, Phoenix explore draft pick swap

Converge FiberXers and Phoenix Fuel Masters are considering a trade involving their picks in the upcoming PBA Draft, with Converge aiming to acquire the second overall selection from Phoenix, who would move down to the eighth spot.

The proposed deal includes a swap of first-round picks, with Converge also receiving Bryan Santos and a 2025 second-round pick from Phoenix.

Phoenix coach Willy Wilson cited team composition and direction as reasons for exploring the trade, indicating they are not comfortable with the perceived talent at the top of the draft.

Converge seeks to improve its draft position after reaching the quarterfinals in all conferences last season.

Both teams had a previous transaction approved on Thursday, involving Larry Muyang, Evan Nelle, and Jeo Ambohot in a three-team swap with NorthPort.

The trade proposal is awaiting approval from the PBA commissioner's office.
