Converge bounces back with dominant win over Blackwater

Converge dominated Blackwater with a decisive 111-80 victory in the PBA Season 49 Philippine Cup, snapping their recent losing streak.

Justin Arana led Converge with a double-double of 19 points and 11 rebounds, supported by 16 points each from Schonny Winston and Justine Baltazar.

Rey Suerte and Bryan Santos also contributed double-digit points, with 11 and 10 respectively, in the lopsided win.

The victory improved Converge's record to 2-2, while Blackwater remains winless at 0-2.

Converge coach Franco Atienza highlighted the team's strong defense as the key factor in their dominant performance, noting they held Blackwater to only 80 points.

The defensive effort also successfully limited Blackwater's top scorer Sedrick Barefield to just five points and held Christian David scoreless.
