Comelec RMA shows 99.997% accuracy rate

The Commission on Elections (Comelec) reported that the ongoing Random Manual Audit (RMA) of the May 12 elections shows an accuracy rate of 99.997% between the automated counting machines (ACMs) and manual tallies.

Comelec Chairperson George Garcia announced the high accuracy rate, noting that it is higher than the 99.94% recorded in the May 2022 elections.

As of Friday afternoon, 723 ballot boxes had undergone RMA, with the Comelec expecting the audit of the remaining ballot boxes to be finished by Monday.

The RMA involves the manual examination of ballots from 762 randomly selected clustered precincts to validate the count of the election machines.
