Comelec, Rappler partner to fight disinformation

The Commission on Elections (Comelec) and Rappler are partnering to combat disinformation and enhance voter awareness for the 2022 elections.

The agreement will involve a fact-checking initiative where Rappler will identify and report false election-related claims to Comelec.

Rappler's civic engagement arm, MovePH, will also contribute to voter education through online shows, podcasts, workshops, and seminars.

This collaboration aims to ensure the public receives truthful information and to promote transparency and accountability in the electoral process.
