Comelec finishes printing voters information sheets

The Commission on Elections (Comelec) has finished printing the Voters Information Sheet (VIS), which will be distributed to registered voters before the May 9 elections.

The printing of all VIS forms for the different regions across the country was completed as of April 13.

Each registered voter will receive a VIS containing their name, address, precinct, and registered polling place.

The VIS also includes simplified instructions on how to cast votes.

Comelec is tasked by Republic Act 7904 to provide registered voters with a VIS at least 30 days before an election.

There are a total of 65.7 million registered voters in the Philippines.
