PPCRV flags data gap with Comelec, verifies election results

The Parish Pastoral Council for Responsible Voting (PPCRV) encountered delays and data discrepancies in election results, receiving initial data past 8:15 PM on Monday due to varying file formats.

The PPCRV noted discrepancies between its internal count and figures reported by other groups receiving data from the transparency server, choosing to hold off publishing results while verifying the information.

Upon further analysis, the PPCRV confirmed its data was accurate after proper filtering of duplicate entries and is now releasing its verified dataset.

The poll watchdog flagged a significant gap between the election return data it received and the figures on the Comelec website, noting its received file accounts for 79.9% of election returns while the Comelec dashboard shows 98.75% transmission.

The PPCRV is in active coordination with the Commission on Elections (Comelec) to understand and resolve this gap.

The Comelec had previously stated there were no irregularities or anomalies in the reported delay of election data transmission, explaining that all election returns are available for counterchecking.
