Japanese coach Koji Tsuzurabara has officially parted ways with the Petro Gazz Angels months after leading them to their first PVL All-Filipino Conference championship.

Tsuzurabara, 60, expressed gratitude on social media for the support he received and thanked Petro Gazz volleyball operations head Oliver Almadro for recommending him.

He replaced Timmy Sto. Tomas in the 2024 season and helped Petro Gazz win bronze in the AFC.

The Angels finished sixth in the Reinforced Conference but bounced back to win the 2025 AFC in April, defeating Creamline.

Under his watch, Petro Gazz had a 35-15 win-loss record, including a 1-3 card in the ongoing PVL on Tour.

The team was hobbled by the absences of top stars Brooke Van Sickle and MJ Phillips due to Alas Pilipinas duties during the PVL on Tour.

Tsuzurabara is scheduled to fly back home to Japan on Wednesday.
