Cignal survives Nxled in 5 sets, notches 2nd PVL win

Cignal secured their second win in the PVL Reinforced Conference by narrowly defeating Nxled in a five-set match with a score of 25-21, 23-25, 20-25, 25-15, 16-14.

New Cignal import Katrin Trebichavska, a Slovak outside hitter, made a significant impact in her debut after a grueling 30-hour flight, scoring 21 points.

Despite her own assessment of a 'rough performance' and still adjusting, Trebichavska expressed happiness with the win and her desire to contribute more to the team.

Trebichavska stated she is 'a hundred percent' on board with joining the Cignal Super Spikers and wanted to play in the Philippines earlier in the season.

Birthday celebrant Erika Santos was also a key player for Cignal, scoring 21 points with most coming from attacks.

Nxled's Paola Martinez had a stellar performance, accumulating 38 points and giving her team a match point opportunity, but ultimately could not secure the win.

The victory improved Cignal's standing to 2-2 in Pool A, marking their second consecutive win after a previous rout of PLDT.
