Cignal, PLDT set for PVL clash amid team changes

Sister teams Cignal HD Spikers and PLDT High Speed Hitters are set for a highly anticipated match in the Premier Volleyball League's All-Filipino Conference preliminaries.

Cignal, currently second in the standings with a 5-1 record, faces challenges due to the departure of key players Ces Molina and Riri Meneses.

Despite these setbacks, Cignal secured a recent three-set victory over Galeries Tower, a match that will test their new core led by Vanie Gandler and Gel Cayuna.

Cignal coach Shaq delos Santos expressed confidence in his team's commitment and performance, noting their continued dedication and enjoyment.

PLDT aims to bounce back from a loss to Choco Mucho and will look to leverage their personnel advantage led by Savi Davison, who scored 27 points in their previous game.

However, PLDT's previous loss highlighted a lack of offensive support beyond Davison.

To turn the tide, PLDT will need players like Dell Palomata, Erika Santos, Fiola Ceballos, Mika Reyes, and Majoy Baron to elevate their performances against Cignal's core.
