3 nabbed for offering ‘poll victory’ for P90 million
The PNP's Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) arrested three individuals in Marikina for allegedly attempting to extort PHP90 million from two candidates in Enrile, Cagayan.

CIDG director Brig. Gen. Nicolas Torre III stated that police are searching for four other employees of the IT firm involved in the scam.
Comelec spokesperson John Rex Laudiangco clarified that the suspects are not affiliated with the poll body and cannot influence election outcomes, with Commissioner Aimee Ferolino confirming they are not on the Comelec employee list.
