He was arrested on Monday morning by the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) through a manhunt operation based on a warrant issued by an Angeles City court for violations of the Anti-Trafficking in Persons Act.

Two other co-accused, identified as "Marlon" and "Mariano," were previously arrested in May 2025.

The crackdown on the 49 accused began on May 15, 2025, when CIDG deployed tracker teams nationwide to locate Roque, Ong, and others with outstanding warrants.

The warrants stemmed from complaints filed by the CIDG Anti-Organized Crime Unit concerning alleged human trafficking in Lucky South, following raids conducted on June 7, 2024.

Roque flew to the Netherlands in March 2025 to seek asylum, citing political persecution.
