PCG ships ‘intercepted’ by Chinese vessels near Ayungin, says analyst

This action by the PCG vessels reportedly led to the deployment of seven additional Chinese militia vessels to reinforce a blockade around the area.
The Ayungin Shoal, referred to by China as Ren'ai Reef, is located within the Philippines' exclusive economic zone and continental shelf, west of Palawan.
