Chery Tiggo ends pool play with win over Galeries

Chery Tiggo concluded their 2024 PVL Reinforced Conference Pool A campaign with a victory, defeating Galeries in four sets.

The team secured their fourth win in the conference, matching the records of Creamline and PLDT.

Ara Galang was a key local player, contributing 16 points from 11 attacks and 5 blocks.

Import Khat Bell led all scorers with 25 points, including 21 attacks, 3 blocks, and an ace, while also providing 12 excellent receptions and 8 excellent digs.

Galang highlighted the importance of local players stepping up to support Bell, especially as she was reportedly experiencing back pain.

Coach Kungfu Reyes confirmed Bell's back pain prior to the game and expressed hope it was not severe.

Galeries had a strong showing in the second set, winning 25-22, and nearly took the third set after establishing a 23-19 lead.
