Central Visayas police seize P54.1M shabu, arrest 104 suspects

Central Visayas police arrested 104 suspects and seized over P54.1 million worth of illegal drugs in a week-long operation from December 13 to 18.

The operation confiscated 7.9 kilos of suspected shabu valued at P54,150,000 through multiple anti-illegal drug operations.

Further operations on December 16 yielded PHP1.3 million and PHP2.5 million worth of shabu from separate suspects.

On December 17, 11 operations resulted in the seizure of P4.1 million worth of shabu and the arrest of 11 suspects.

Authorities conducted 14 separate operations on December 18, confiscating P1.06 million worth of shabu and apprehending 21 drug suspects.

On December 19, 10 more operations seized P555,288 worth of shabu and arrested 31 individuals.

The suspects now face drug-related charges in various courts.

Police Brig. Gen. Roy Parena credited the success to intensified efforts to combat narcotics and underscored the region's commitment to public safety.
