Cebu Pacific transports 70,000 COVID-19 vaccine doses to Visayas and Mindanao

Cebu Pacific safely transported approximately 70,000 COVID-19 vaccine doses to various locations in the Visayas and Mindanao on May 11 and 12.

The shipment included specific allocations for Bacolod (4,760 doses), Cotabato (7,600 doses), Davao (18,075 doses), Legazpi (27,620 doses), Puerto Princesa (6,200 doses), and Zamboanga (5,320 doses).

All vaccines were preserved in temperature-controlled refrigerated containers to maintain potency and efficacy.

Cebu Pacific's chief commercial officer, Alexander Lao, expressed the airline's readiness to continue transporting vaccines across its domestic network and highlighted the promising progress of the country's vaccination efforts.

On May 7, Cebu Pacific also successfully transported 1.5 million doses from Beijing to Manila, marking the largest single shipment by a Philippine carrier.

Since March 2021, Cebu Pacific has flown over 2.5 million vaccine doses, with more than half a million delivered to seven provinces.
