Cebu Pacific sees 14% passenger volume jump in first nine months

Cebu Pacific (CEB) reported a 14 percent jump in passenger volume for the first nine months of 2025, carrying 20 million passengers compared to 17.5 million in the same period last year.

Domestic passenger numbers increased by 12.7 percent to 14.9 million, while international passenger traffic rose by 17.7 percent to 5.1 million during the nine-month period.

The airline's overall seat load factor averaged 84.8 percent, with a 14 percent increase in overall capacity to 23.5 million seats.

For September alone, CEB transported 1.8 million passengers, a 2.6 percent increase from the previous year.

Cebu Pacific's President and Chief Commercial Officer Xander Lao mentioned that September's figures reflect a strategic period for aircraft maintenance and fleet preparation for the upcoming peak season.

The airline anticipates stronger performance in the fourth quarter due to enhanced aircraft availability, increased flight frequencies, and the deployment of widebody aircraft on high-demand routes to capitalize on the anticipated holiday travel surge.
