Cebu Pacific net income surges to P9.5 billion

Cebu Pacific reported a nearly threefold increase in its net income for the first nine months of the year, reaching P9.5 billion.

The airline's robust financial performance was driven by a significant rise in passenger traffic and the availability of spare engines.

Total revenues for the January-September period grew by 18 percent to P87.6 billion, with passenger volume increasing by 14 percent to 20 million.

In the third quarter alone, Cebu Pacific achieved a profit of P499 million, a turnaround from a P173 million net loss in the same quarter last year.
