Cebu gov to give P5,000 incentive to power linemen, police

Cebu Governor Gwendolyn Garcia announced that power linemen and police personnel who helped restore electricity and maintain peace in the province after Typhoon Odette will receive a P5,000 incentive from the Capitol.

The incentive aims to express gratitude for the tireless efforts of the linemen from Cebu Electric Cooperatives I, II, and III, and Visayan Electric Co. in restoring power to typhoon-devastated areas.

Governor Garcia highlighted that the early restoration of power enabled vital facilities, including water pump stations, to resume operations.

Police officers assigned to the province's 44 towns and component cities will also receive the incentive for securing their respective localities during the calamity.

The provincial government wishes to acknowledge the sacrifices made by these frontliners to expedite the re-electrification process in affected regions.
