Cebu classes suspended due to magnitude 6.9 earthquake

Classes for Thursday, October 2, 2025, have been suspended in various parts of Cebu following a magnitude 6.9 earthquake near Bogo City.

In Cebu City, kindergarten, elementary, and public high schools are affected by the suspension.

Suspensions for public State Colleges and Universities, as well as all private schools, are at the discretion of each institution.

Talisay City has suspended all face-to-face classes, both public and private, until October 3, 2025, to allow for school inspections.

Specific institutions like the College of Technological Sciences and the University of Cebu have also canceled face-to-face classes.
