Cavite ToL Patriots set for inaugural WMPBL season

The Cavite ToL Patriots are preparing to compete in the inaugural season of the Women's Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League (WMPBL), set to begin in January.

Coach Mandell Martires, son of PBA legend Rosalio "Yoyong" Martirez, emphasized the team's focus on executing their system and accumulating wins during the elimination round.

The team features notable players including Erika May Jimenez (UP Maroons), Bernice Paraiso (De La Salle Lady Archers), and Jaina del Prado (FEU Lady Tamaraws).

Other players in the lineup are Wendi Casinillo, Haliana Marie Aldaya, Fionna Mikee Gonato, Diane Reyes, Honeylyn Caringal, and Magdaliowi Flores.

Jimenez expressed the team's readiness to prove that female athletes deserve equal opportunities and can perform at a high level.

Paraiso highlighted the league's importance in inspiring younger generations and providing a platform for female players after college.

Del Prado shared her excitement to showcase skills in the new league.

Team manager Micko Tolentino previously revealed plans to host games throughout Cavite to engage more fans.
