Cavite eyes 15k daily COVID-19 tests in 10 weeks

Cavite province aims to establish a daily COVID-19 testing capacity of 10,000 to 15,000 tests within 10 weeks.

This target significantly exceeds the national government's missed target of 8,000 tests per day for April.

Governor Jonvic Remulla stated that upon reaching full capacity, test results would be available on the following day.

The province has established 25 swabbing stations across Cavite.

Their strategy involves testing all probable cases, followed by high-risk personnel, disease vectors, public drivers, and individuals working in eco-zones.

Remulla emphasized that testing all workers in eco-zones is crucial for the economy, as a single infected individual can quickly spread the virus within factories.

Critical COVID-19 cases will be brought to the General Emilio Aguinaldo Memorial Hospital.
