Cascolan to oversee DOH Visayas operations

Health Undersecretary Camilo Cascolan will now oversee the Department of Health (DOH) operations in the Visayas regions.

Cascolan's role is described as purely operational, focusing on the field implementation and coordination of DOH policies and programs.

This oversight aims to ensure effective implementation of health initiatives and proper functioning of health facilities in Western, Central, and Eastern Visayas.

Cascolan believes his extensive experience in logistics, people management, and field operations, developed during his tenure as PNP chief, will be beneficial to the DOH.

He plans to prioritize boosting the morale and welfare of DOH personnel, drawing parallels to his successful initiatives in the Philippine National Police.

Cascolan explained that his focus on the Visayas is to first gain a thorough understanding of DOH's operations before expanding his scope.
