Cardinal David calls flood control anomaly the worst corruption scandal in PH history

Cardinal Pablo Virgilio David has labeled the multibillion-peso flood control anomalies as the "worst corruption scandal in Philippine governance history."

The CBCP president made these remarks during a mass commemorating the 100th anniversary of the Feast of Christ the King.

David highlighted the urgency of addressing corruption, especially with recent reports of drownings amidst flood control project revelations.

He emphasized that confronting the root causes of corruption is necessary to reawaken public conscience.

The Cardinal stressed that accountability, including charging and jailing those responsible, is crucial for the issue to be resolved.

David concluded by stating that the scandal will only end when it is fully exposed, admitted, and atoned for, allowing truth, goodness, and honor to prevail.
