Cardinal Advincula stresses importance of kneeling in humility this Christmas

Cardinal Jose Advincula, the Metropolitan Archbishop of Manila, urged the public to remember the profound significance of kneeling in humility during Christmas celebrations.

He noted that many often kneel absentmindedly or forget to do so during Christmas Masses, thereby diminishing the ritual's true meaning.

Advincula emphasized that kneeling during the proclamation of the Incarnation is not just a sign of reverence but also an act of thanksgiving and an openness for Jesus to dwell within us.

He stated that failing to kneel in humility can lead to shallow and empty celebrations, especially in a society preoccupied with wealth and power.

The cardinal encouraged families to draw near to Bethlehem, both in churches and homes, to truly embrace the spirit of the Lord's Nativity this Christmas.
