Camarines Norte river victim identified; suspect surrenders

Authorities in Camarines Norte identified the victim found stuffed in a plastic box in a river as Anelis Agocoy, 38, from Catarman, Camiguin.

Her identity was confirmed by a friend who saw a social media post and by her cousin.

Witnesses have identified the suspect in the crime.

CCTV footage shows the suspect arriving at a bus terminal in Calamba, Laguna with the storage box on board, accompanied by a tricycle driver.

The person of interest in the case has surrendered to the Basud police.
