Caloocan suspends classes due to bomb threats

Classes and government work in Caloocan City were suspended on Wednesday afternoon following a series of bomb threats.

Mayor Along Malapitan announced the immediate suspension after receiving an alarming email threat.

The threats targeted multiple locations including Tala High School, Silanganan Elementary School, Glorieta Park, and City Hall.

The Caloocan City Police and Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) unit declared the locations safe after thorough inspections.

The police Anti-Cybercrime Group is investigating the incidents.

Classes and government work were set to resume on Thursday, October 16, with increased police visibility in schools.
