Bus crashes into 10 vehicles on Commonwealth Ave, 10 hurt

A passenger bus collided with multiple vehicles along Commonwealth Avenue in Quezon City on Thursday morning, injuring at least 10 individuals.

The incident began around 6:55 a.m. when the Mersan bus, en route from Sapang Palay, Bulacan to Parañaque Integrated Terminal Exchange (PITX), rammed a UV Express and nine other vehicles, including five motorcycles.

The bus driver reportedly lost control of the brakes and deliberately crashed into the center island barriers of the MRT-7 construction site to avoid causing further accidents.

Several injuries were sustained, with affected individuals transported to East Avenue Medical Center, Rosario Maclang Bautista General Hospital, and Commonwealth Hospital for treatment.

No serious injuries were reported among those involved.

The Metro Manila Development Authority (MMDA) Road Emergency Group responded to clear the site, and the Land Transportation Office is investigating the collision.
