Bulacan suspends classes until Saturday due to COVID-19

Classes in all levels across Bulacan, both public and private schools, have been suspended until Saturday, March 14, as a precautionary measure against COVID-19.

The suspension was extended by Governor Daniel R. Fernando following the Department of Health's announcement of 49 confirmed COVID-19 cases nationwide, including one from the City of San Jose Del Monte in the province.

Governor Fernando assured that the provincial government will do everything to protect its residents and is conducting contact tracing in coordination with health officials.

He urged students to continue learning from home and advised everyone to remain calm and vigilant.

The provincial government is also ensuring mayors, health officers, and barangay captains strictly implement preventive measures in accordance with existing laws and proclamations.

Residents are reminded to practice personal preventive measures such as hand hygiene, cough etiquette, and social distancing.
