BuCor allows PUV access to NBP shortcut for students

The Bureau of Corrections (BuCor) has approved in principle the return of public utility vehicle (PUV) access to the shortcut road within the New Bilibid Prison (NBP) compound in Muntinlupa City.

This access is primarily for students and staff of Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Muntinlupa (PLMun) and Muntinlupa National High School (MNHS).

A trial implementation of this PUV access will commence next week, with full operations expected to begin on Monday.

Strict safety guidelines are in place, including operating hours from 4 a.m. to 10 a.m., designated pick-up and drop-off points at Itaas Elementary School and near Muntinlupa National High School.

Drivers must adhere to requirements such as proper attire, passing a drug test, and clear vehicle identification.

Muntinlupa Mayor Ruffy Biazon emphasized the need for cooperation and discipline to ensure the smooth execution of this initiative.

The city government is also exploring a similar agreement with South Green Heights Subdivision for access to Korokan.
