BSP governor Diokno takes COVID-19 test
Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) Governor Benjamin Diokno is undergoing self-quarantine after potential exposure to a COVID-19 positive individual.
Diokno decided to self-quarantine as a precautionary measure and has since taken a COVID-19 test.
He expects his test results by Sunday afternoon or Monday morning, and plans to return to the office on Wednesday if negative.
Monetary Board meetings will be transferred to the BSP's Security Plant Complex (SPC) in Quezon City.
The BSP headquarters in Malate, Manila, and SPC underwent disinfection and a temporary lockdown on March 12 and 13.
Despite the temporary suspension of work at its main offices, the BSP continued its normal operations.
