Brondial stars with double-double as SMB routs Terrafirma

Rodney Brondial starred with a double-double of 16 points and a career-high 22 rebounds, leading San Miguel Beer to a dominant 128-89 victory over Terrafirma in the PBA Philippine Cup.

Brondial's performance included an efficient 8-of-11 shooting from the field and he was named Player of the Game.

He emphasized his focus on contributing "intangibles" like rebounding and defense, stating he isn't conscious of his point production.

June Mar Fajardo also contributed a double-double with 12 points and 12 rebounds, supporting the Beermen's win.

The victory improved San Miguel Beer's standing to 5-2, placing them in solo third place and half a game behind second-running NLEX.

Coach Leo Austria noted Brondial's consistent hard-nosed defense and rebounding, traits he has observed since their time together at Adamson University.
