Boracay Water expands sewer network, boosting coverage to 67%

Manila Water's unit, Boracay Water, has expanded its sewer network on Boracay Island to improve wastewater management capacity.

The expansion project, part of the Yapak Bypass Project, focused on the Balabag area, covering Stations 1 and 2, and parts of Yapak.

This initiative has increased Boracay's sewer coverage from 61 percent to 67 percent, allowing for more efficient wastewater disposal and treatment.

Boracay Water saw a significant increase in connected accounts, jumping from 30 in late 2024 to 178 by October 2025.

The company emphasized its commitment to providing effective water and wastewater services while protecting Boracay's environment and ensuring sustainability.
