Marcos Jr. names DOLE, DMW, NEDA chiefs; Remulla to head DOJ

Presumptive president Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr. has appointed Bienvenido Laguesma as Secretary of the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), Susan "Toots" Ople as Secretary of the Department of Migrant Workers, and Arsenio Balisacan as Chairperson of the National Economic and Development Authority (NEDA).

Laguesma, a former DOLE secretary, accepted the nomination to lead the labor department again.

Ople, an advocate for overseas Filipino workers, will head the newly created Department of Migrant Workers.

Balisacan, currently the chairperson of the Philippine Competition Commission (PCC), also accepted the offer to lead NEDA, a position he previously held under President Benigno Aquino III.

Marcos expressed confidence in Balisacan's competence and shared vision, stating that their similar thinking will benefit the country.

Boying Remulla has confirmed his acceptance of the position of Department of Justice (DOJ) secretary.
