Bongbong Marcos spox says presidential aspirant to skip debates

Presidential aspirant Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr. will not participate in presidential debates or forums designed to create conflict among candidates, according to his spokesperson.

Spokesperson Vic Rodriguez stated that the Filipino people are weary of political squabbling and are more concerned with pressing national issues like unemployment.

Rodriguez explained that Marcos views candidates as applicants for the nation's highest office and should not be engaged in adversarial exchanges with fellow applicants or the electorate.

This stance was evident when Marcos missed the Presidential Candidates' Forum organized by the Kapisanan ng mga Brodkaster ng Pilipinas due to a scheduling conflict.

Despite his absence from direct debates, Marcos has participated in other interview formats, including one-on-one interviews with DZRH and Korina Sanchez, and a program hosted by Boy Abunda.
