BOC receives 13 more luxury vehicles from contractors

Thirteen luxury vehicles owned by contractors Curlee and Sarah Discaya were turned over to the Bureau of Customs (BOC) in Manila.

These vehicles were transported to the BOC facility in the Port Area of Manila following the issuance of a warrant of seizure.

This turnover follows the BOC's earlier seizure of 28 luxury vehicles linked to the Discaya family in September.

The BOC has determined that eight of the previously seized vehicles were smuggled, having been imported without proper documentation.

Seven other vehicles, despite having import entries, lacked Certificates of Payment and had deficiencies in duties and taxes.

These seven vehicles are currently undergoing a transaction audit by the Post Clearance Audit Group.

The Discaya family is also under investigation for their alleged involvement in the misuse of billions of pesos intended for flood control projects.
