Blackwater ends skid, crushes winless Terrafirma

Blackwater snapped a four-game skid after defeating winless Terrafirma, 96-86, in the PBA Commissioner's Cup.

Import George King led Blackwater with 26 points and 12 rebounds, with significant contributions from bench players Justin Chua (17 points, 12 rebounds) and Mike Ayonayon (15 points).

Jaydee Tungcab also added 11 points for Blackwater, who overcame a double-digit deficit.

The victory improved Blackwater's record to 2-7, while Terrafirma remains winless at 0-10.

Terrafirma's import Brandon Edwards scored 29 points and grabbed 16 rebounds, and Louie Sangalang added 17 points for the Dyip.

With three games remaining, Blackwater keeps its slim playoff hopes alive, though they face tough opponents like Converge, Phoenix, and NorthPort next.

Coach Jeff Cariaso attributed the win to improved defense, which generated their offense, particularly in the second half.
