BINI named top local artist, TJ Monterde's 'Palagi' tops local song chart

The Official Philippine Chart, supported by the Philippine Recorded Music Rights Inc. (PRM) and the International Federation of the Phonographic Industry (IFPI), has officially launched, recognizing top artists and songs in the country.

BINI was honored as the 'Top Local Artist of the Year', and their songs 'Salamin, Salamin' and 'Pantropiko' also ranked 4th and 5th respectively in the 'Top 10 Local Songs of the Year 2024'.

TJ Monterde received the 'Top Local Song of the Year' award for his single, 'Palagi', which secured the number one spot in the chart.

Other artists recognized in the 'Top 10 Local Songs of the Year 2024' include Maki for 'Dilaw', Dionela for 'Sining', gins&melodies and Hev Abi for 'Babaero', Hev Abi for 'Walang Alam' and 'Alam Mo Ba Girl', Cup of Joe and Janine Teñoso for 'Tingin', and Arthur Nery for 'Take All the Love'.

Hev Abi also had multiple songs featured in the top 10 list.

BINI member Sheena expressed immense gratitude, stating that receiving such an award was beyond their wildest dreams as trainees.

TJ Monterde expressed his gratitude for the recognition, stating that these honors are a bonus and that he simply wants to continue writing music.
