BI sees 8% rise in passenger arrivals

The Bureau of Immigration (BI) reported an 8% increase in passenger arrivals from January to June 2025 compared to the same period in 2024, processing a total of 7,840,728 arrivals.

Travelers from the United States led the arrivals with 753,544, followed by South Korea (745,623), Japan (256,776), China (229,915), and Australia (188,082).

BI Commissioner Joel Anthony Viado stated that this sustained growth demonstrates the Philippines' continuing appeal as a top regional destination.

He also expressed pride in the BI's role in supporting this momentum through efficient and secure processing.

Viado committed that the BI will continue to implement improvements with other government agencies to enhance the country's attractiveness to international visitors.
