Pakistani national arrested for overstaying in Makati

Khasta Rahman, a 42-year-old Pakistani national, was arrested in Makati City by the Bureau of Immigration Intelligence Division (BIID) for allegedly overstaying his visa in the Philippines.

He was apprehended on March 27 at a convenience store on Antonio Arnaiz Avenue in Barangay San Lorenzo after failing to present his passport when asked.

BIID chief Fortunato Manahan Jr. stated that the operation was part of the BI's ongoing effort to locate foreign nationals who are breaking Philippine immigration regulations.

Rahman was taken to the BI Main Office for legal proceedings, medical clearance, and documentation.

After a commitment order was issued, he was transferred to the BI Warden Facility in Camp Bagong Diwa, Taguig City.
