Bernadeth Pons bags first PVL MVP award

Bernadeth Pons has earned her first career PVL MVP award in the 2024 Reinforced Conference, less than a year after her former beach volleyball partner, Sisi Rondina, also received the same award.

The former FEU standout, who is also a Finals MVP and a two-time PVL champion, emphasized the significant impact of her international beach volleyball experience on her indoor career.

Pons highlighted that competing against Olympians and high-caliber players in beach volleyball provided continuous learning opportunities that contributed to her success.

She stated, "Sobrang nakaka-proud din talaga lalo na kasi malaking bagay din talaga yung mga international kahit beach volleyball yun kasi sobra mga nakakalaban namin don hindi basta basta," referring to the Olympians and high-caliber players she faced.

Pons and the Creamline Cool Smashers claimed the championship following a sweep of the Akari Chargers on Sisi Rondina's 28th birthday.
