PH, Thai firms ink solar, battery storage JV in Thailand

Berde Renewables Inc. of the Philippines and Power Systems and Solutions Co. Ltd. (PSS) of Thailand have formed a joint venture to develop and deploy solar power, battery storage, and hybrid energy solutions in Thailand.

The partnership will initially focus on 18.9 MWp of existing solar assets, 30 MWp of projects currently under construction, and an additional 170 MWp in the development pipeline.

The venture aims to develop, own, and operate 300 MW of renewable energy projects within the next three years to meet Thailand's increasing demand for green energy in various sectors.

This collaboration leverages Berde Renewables' clean energy technologies with PSS's extensive expertise in engineering, oil and gas, power, renewables, and industrial services.

Both companies intend to expand their operations throughout the Southeast Asian region by utilizing their utility-scale projects, corporate power purchase agreements, and grid-stabilizing solutions.

The joint venture will offer integrated solutions to improve energy efficiency, enhance asset management, and prolong the operational life of critical infrastructures within Thailand's renewable energy market.
