SMB takes 3-2 lead over Ginebra in PBA semis

Star guard CJ Perez exploded for 31 points, his first time exceeding 30 points in a while, leading the Beermen to their first back-to-back wins in the series.

Perez highlighted the team's effort to achieve consecutive victories, acknowledging the challenge ahead and the need to rest and adjust their defense.

Jericho Cruz also contributed significantly with a season-high 27 points off the bench.

The Beermen managed to pull away in the final quarter, securing the win despite Ginebra's attempts to close the gap.

Perez stepped up with his performance, especially with key player June Mar Fajardo still recovering from an injury, receiving trust from Coach Leo Austria to lead the offense.
